The birth of Dattatreya, son of Atri and Anasuya, whom the Bhagavata counts among the avataras. Tradition takes the wandering avadhuta of its eleventh skandha, with his twenty-four teachers, to be him.

Kept at dusk, above all in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
